During 1998, a group of Christians from all around Truro began to come together, first for prayer, and then to meet on Sundays.
This led to the forming of Truro Evangelical Church, which has, almost from the first days, met at Tregolls School, in the city.
Our first minister, Rev. John Rosser, passed the leadership on to Rev. Peter Ninnis in October, 2002, who has continued to guide the church since then.
The members of the church are drawn from a wide background of experience, and are united, both in the experience of God’s great love and mercy, as well as in the conviction that the Bible needs to be central in our thinking and living.
There are all kinds of people in the church! Parents with young families, retired people, singles. No matter what you experience of life, you will be welcome among us.
For any wishing to look at the claims of Christ and Christianity, we run home-based courses. For more details of these please see the page on ‘Services and upcoming events’.
