WHY JESUS DIED (the message is simple)
GOD MADE THE WORLD AND EVERYTHING IN IT.
Acts 14:15 … we are bringing you Good News, telling you to turn from these worthless things to the living God who made heaven, and earth, and sea and everything in it.
In the Bible we are told that ‘God made the world and everything in it’. That includes us, and it gives us roots. We have come from somewhere, and that ‘somewhere’ is God. We do not exist by accident or chance, and we have inherent dignity, for we are made in the image of God. Our existence is not pointless, nor do we live in a pointless world. You are here for a purpose, and discovering that purpose is what the Bible is about. God made us for His glory, to live for His glory, to delight in His glory. Does marriage matter?
So, the Government intends to redefine marriage! Indeed, the Equalities Minister regards it as Government’s responsibilty to ‘reflect the society and shape the future’. Lord Carey has said that ‘Marriage is not owned by the State or the Church’. He is right.
